Dimitra Doesn’t Want to Leave
Collaborative Project
Interior Design Studio IV

Our objective is to design an accessible living space for the inhabitants while also finding ways for others to use the property. We have reimagined the existing two-family polykatoikia to create a hybrid co-habitant situation. Through this process, we have responded to the landscape while avoiding intervening with the primary structure of the existing house. We have integrated several outdoor spaces to allow users to optimize the entirety of the property. For Dimitra and Panagiotis, they are in a stage of their life of savouring memories and finding beauty in small moments of everyday life. Reconfiguring the spacial organization of the ground floor has created a space that can aid Dimitra and Panagiotis and support their needs as they embrace the passage of time. The co-habitant hybrid situation incorporates a tutoring space on the top floor that extends out on the balcony to provide a healthy learning environment for students in the community.
